The Creative Capital Project is a sister program to Amesi & Associates’ Creative Equity Initiative, designed to empower underrepresented artists and creatives in Los Angeles, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and low-income individuals. The program provides no-cost technical assistance, business education, and access-to-capital support, equipping creatives to formalize their businesses, secure funding, and unlock income-generating opportunities.
Through the Creative Capital Project, DancePhreakz Foundation will support over 200 artists and small businesses annually by:
Hosting workshops and virtual events covering financial literacy, capital funding, legal compliance, and creative entrepreneurship
Offering 1-on-1 and small group coaching to address business challenges, including tax documentation, legal setup, and financial planning
Guiding participants in applying for grants, loans, and creative commissions to enhance their income potential
By closing knowledge and resource gaps, the Creative Capital Project empowers creatives in the dance, performing arts, and broader creative sectors to grow sustainable, professional careers while building equity and opportunity in communities historically underserved in Los Angeles’ creative economy.
The Wildfire TA program, in collaboration with Amesi & Associates and funded through the SCALE program, provides targeted support to creative small businesses affected by the recent wildfires. The program begins with a one-on-one consultation with a dedicated Technical Assistance specialist, where we review your business needs, assess the impact of the wildfire, and identify immediate priorities for recovery. Following this session, we develop a customized Resource Roadmap, connecting you with trusted partners for accounting, legal support, website development, and other essential business services. Our team provides ongoing guidance, regular check-ins, and access to a network of professionals to ensure you can secure funding, navigate recovery processes, and rebuild your business effectively. This program is designed to equip creative entrepreneurs with the tools, knowledge, and connections necessary to stabilize, grow, and sustain their businesses after wildfire disruptions, helping them regain momentum and thrive in Los Angeles’ creative economy.
